"JJ Brown is the real deal. A story teller with a great voice. One of Americas great, future Troubadours." says Bill Bell. (Guitar Player for Jason Mraz / Tom Cochrin) His blended sound has been compared to Hunter Hayes, John Mayor, Kieth Urban and Jason Mraz.

This prolific songwriter writes from the heart and soul about romance and everyday fall outs. His ability to connect to the listener through personable lyrics and catchy choruses will leave his songs lingering in your head for days. His optimism, passion for music, and love for living his dreams is what keeps this musician on track. It reminds him daily that unlimited possibilities are always right around the next corner.

JJ Brown was born in Columbus, Ohio to a very musical family. His family eventually moved to Ft. Oglethorpe, GA when he was thirteen years old, but JJ spent most of his time in the artistic and musical city of Chattanooga, TN. "I remember waking my dad up on Saturday mornings because I was blasting music, playing air guitar and singing at the top of my lungs. I had a favorite mirror, a favorite band, and a green electric guitar. I didn't know how to play guitar then. I must have been about 8 or 9 yrs. old. Pretending I was a Rock-Star was my favorite thing to do on the weekend while my Dad slept in and my mom was out jogging." - JJ Brown.

After the Navy, JJ moved to Nashville, TN where he spent some time song writing and working as an assistant engineer and singing back ground vocals on miscellaneous indie label projects. JJ Co-Wrote a song titled “Through All The Earth” with the band The Turning and Grammy Award winning producer Nathan Dantzler (ND Rock), while the band was signed to the record label Rocket Town. The song was placed on the album “Learning to Loose” which was placed in Wal-Mart, F.Y.E., and many other popular retail chains nationally. The song also received great reviews and was aired on the radio.

JJ returned to his new home in California where he opened for Kevin Costner, Peter Frampton, Doobie Brothers and many more. He has licensed his music to be used during the Indianapolis 500 Race and a major network commercial by the Chaffee Zoo.
